Traveling and Hair Care, What a Doozie!

Traveling and Hair Care, What a Doozie!

Traveling and hair car can be tricky. Do you dedicate half your suitcase to products, diffusers, and styling accessories? Do you go on a hope and a prayer that the stars, moons, and humidity align, and it will all work out?  On a recent trip I was bankrolling on my 4-year-old curly-headed niece having products I could use along with the low humidity of St. Louis to work in my favor.  I literally packed only a wide-toothed comb.

As you could have guessed, my niece had absolutely nothing!!!  The prior year she had more products than me, this year I am left with a hair mask and some serum from my brother-in-law.  This is quite the predicament; do I wash my hair and attempt to style with what was available?  I slept in my satin bonnet which delayed the inevitable. I went as long as I could rocking the curls I showed up with.  Eventually I had to bite the bullet and have myself a wash day experiment.  I used the hair mask in lieu of cream or gel, applied the serum and said a prayer.  The results were better than I suspected but had no staying power.  The moral of the story… if nothing else, pack product!
